Michael Horan has been a leader in business, and in his community for decades. He studied business at both Central Michigan University and Lake Michigan College, before embarking on his own business journey. Mike opened Horan Equipment in 1979, and spent almost a decade as a wholesale supplier of parts and services for front discharge concrete trucks. In conjunction with this venture, he shared his expertise with TET, Inc—a manufacturer of front discharge concrete trucks—by serving on their Board of Directors.
Mike spent the next thirty years as Founder and President of Livingston County Concrete, Inc.—a supplier of ready-mix concrete, serving greater Livingston, Oakland, Washtenaw and Southern Genesee Counties. Mike is also the Founder and President of Redi-Wall, LLC—a manufacturer of big block retaining walls, and a wholesaler of hardscape pavers and small block retaining walls. Mike has served in a professional capacity as a Board member of the Michigan Concrete Association, and as a Board member of the Hartland Chamber of Commerce.
Mike has proven over the years that he is always looking towards the next horizon. While running two successful businesses, Mike tried his hand at development, when he created South Haven Sunnybrook RV Resort—a beautiful, high end RV Resort, located in South Haven, Michigan.
Mike has long understood the importance of serving his community. In addition to serving on UBU Today’s Board, Mike is also the Charter President of the Hartland Rotary Club—2007-present, and has served as a mentor in the Reaching Higher Program at Hartland High School—2015-present. UBU Today is thrilled that Mike is willing to share his extensive knowledge and experience with our organization.
